Libellous Lyrics by M.M.T

Embonpoint

I took to strenuous exercise
To level down my bulging waist,
I hopped and stepped and also jumped
And weary miles I also paced.

It only made me hungry, tired,
And I ate more and lolled in bed.
My bulging waist, it bulged on still
And gained I much in weight instead.

I sought advice from certain friends
Who kindly had a horse produced,
I have been riding hard since then,
But ’tis the horse that gets reduced.

Dear Bo Bo Thanks for your article. Former Chief Justice (and the last Chief Justice under the defunct 1947 Constitution) U Myint Thein (MMT) was born on 22 February 1900 and died on 3 October 1994. He was appointed as Chief Justice on 17 July 1957 and General Ne Win, Chairman of the Revolutionary Council in his Order dated 30 March 1962 ‘terminated with effect from noon, 31 March 1962’ ( I read that in Ludu Daily news item of 31 March 1962!). He was arrested on 2 March 1962 and was released on 28 February 1968, so the period he spent in detention was not ‘nearly five years’ as you have written but almost six years. Among the top leaders overthrown and put into detention by General Ne Win he spent the longest time. U Nu was released on 27 October 1966, the then President Mahn Win Maung was released in October 1967 and U Myint Thein was the last of the top leaders to be released. He had at least three collection of poems (1) Burmese Folk Songs (published in Burma also) (2) When At Nights I Strive to Sleep (first published in UK around 1970) (3) Burmese Proverbs Explained (published in UK around 1984). Do you know when the photo together with the late Daw Khin Kyi and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was taken? Who was the other person in the photo.

Thanks Uncle. So he might get the longest prison term after San leaders like U Tun Myint (10 years). Another man in the photo was Paw Oo Thet, taken in 1970s?
